It is with great regret that the Board of Trustees of ACCESS announces the cessation of all services from December 31st 2023.
Sadly, the Charity’s guaranteed finances will run out at this time, despite making every effort to secure funding. The Board sees no realistic possibility of securing sufficient funding to give ACCESS a long-term future. A number of options were considered but none offered a viable future for the organisation. The decision has therefore been made to instigate a controlled closure programme, with the emphasis on continuing to serve our clients for as long as possible.
The Board would like to thank all those who have supported ACCESS (formerly KLARS) since its inception in 2000 – and particularly to thank all the staff over the years for their loyalty and for their support to our clients.
In the last 23 years ACCESS has helped thousands of migrants settle into local communities in Kings Lynn, Wisbech and East Anglia more broadly. This has only been possible thanks to the support of a number of funders, local and national – particularly The National Lottery.
Our thanks also go to the many individuals who have served ACCESS and KLARS as Trustees and, of course, as staff.
